Song Seung-hun

Song Seung-hun (born Song Seung-bok on October 5, 1976) is a South Korean actor. He started his career as a model in 1995, modelling for the brand name STORM, and began acting in sit-coms and TV dramas in 1996. In 1999 he made his film debut in Calla and has since then gathered a prominent fan base throughout Asia.

Song is noted for his roles in Korean dramas like Autumn Fairy Tale (2000) and Summer Scent. Song, during his late teenage years, successfully evaded compulsory army service by claiming to have severe diabetes and high blood pressure. At 28, his claim was discovered by the South Korean government to be false, and he was forced to serve the army for two years. Song, in an apparent show of guilt, publicly apologised and began his service.

Despite pleas from his fans to the South Korean government, the government feared that giving clemency to Song would spark off riots and strikes (due to peoples' displeasure at his act). In the end, Song temporarily dropped acting to serve the army until 2006, although he was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Song was discharged on November 15 as a Corporal.

Album and Singles : September - October

I’m still working on this. I’m supposed to be studying >.<>

에프티 아일랜드 (F.T Island) (Vol.2) - Colorful Sensibility (Part II) - October 20 2008

They did again. The title track is really good. The first track, well.. it was a bit too old school sounding for me. After the title track, next fave is no.4, after that 3.. Track 6 was one of my fave songs from their original second album too. I really love F.T Island ballad songs. Yay~~~ One criticism, the cover. Jae Jin looks like he’s giving us some attitude LOL

Jeon Ji-hyun Changes Hairdo for New Film

Jeon Ji-hyun Changes Hairdo for New Film

South Korean siren Jeon Ji-hyun shows off her new hairdo in a recent photo album. Her long, straight, naturally-dark hair had been her symbol for the ten years since she entered the showbiz industry. The star recently topped a list of most boring female stars in a survey conducted in South Korea. However, the star's agency company explained that Jeon Ji-hyun has only cut her hair short in preparation for her latest film "Blood: the Last Vampire".

Argh.. i’m getting fed up of being behind. I’m just going to post albums randomly. Sorry for the disorganization. Well, here is a drama that I’ve been addicted to. It’s still airing on TV every Monday and Tuesday night at 9:50pm Korean time. I find the drama amusing in a way. Song Seung Hun is like the toughest macho man on earth ROFL. I mean, he is beaten and bashed so many times and he still seems to be okay. Well…back to the topic. This is great album with many famous singers! You name it. SG Wanna Be, Kim Jong Wook, Davichi, SeeYa, MTOM etc.. You know why i like this drama? Well, no.1, when a production company can afford to have such famous singers sing their drama songs, it means it’s going to be good. In addition, opposite to the trend these days, the songs are actually played in full during the drama. That is, vocals and all. Unlike the tiring and boring instrumentals. Way back in the early 2000s, it was the peak of K-Drama. Personally, i think was largely because of the music. Then the trend changed and production companies began just using instrumentals for their dramas, thus taking away the excitement and emotion. Now… back to this album. Thumbs up. Compared to Davichi’s Lee Hae Ri’s version of 홍두I, I like SeeYa’s Lee Bo Ram’s version 홍두II better. I remember watching the drama and wondering who sang the song. Of course it ended up being Lee Bo Ram. Also, track 10, I don’t quite know the artists, first time I’ve heard of him. The song was played in the drama made it sound so good :P I absolutely love track 2. Ah!! They’re all good.

Jun Korean entertainers´ dreaded compulsory military conscription

Kim Jeong Hoon who so far, as the only actor who publicly said that he dreaded military service after acting in DMZ in 2004, should be due for national service anytime.
Others who have done their tour of duty last year were Jang Hyuk (Korean movie: Windstruck and recently ended 2007 Korean drama: Thank you), Go Soo (Korean dramas: Green Rose, Marrying a Millionaire, Piano fame), etc. And of course, So Ji Sub (Sorry I love you, What happen in Bali fame) done his entertainment brothers proud by completing his, two months ago in April. Looking back, these korean actors are very much in demand after doing military service. Jang Hyuk and So Jib Sub were immediately recruited to act in new korean dramas. So perhaps, they should view the compulsory conscription as a blessing in disguise as they immediately become hot properties on their emergence from the two years forced absences. Ji Seong (aka Ji Sung) who has just completed his tour last week has in a minor role in a movie.
